Ali's Puppy Starter Pack

Four digital guides. One pack. The plan I wish someone handed me when Allie came home.

Raising a dog shouldn't mean 47 open tabs and three friends giving you opposite advice. Ali's Puppy Starter Pack pulls together four practical digital guides from Ali's Pet Supplies into one instant download — so you get a clear plan for the first months, potty training, leaving your pet with a sitter, and keeping them safe through a Florida summer.

What's inside

  • New Puppy Survival Guide — Your first 90 days: first days home, crate training, potty schedules, feeding, vet timeline, socialization, teething, sleep, common mistakes, and a fridge-ready checklist.
  • Potty-Training Plan — Simple schedules and routines that actually stick (without the rug-ruining guessing game).
  • Pet-Sitter Checklist — Everything a sitter needs so you can leave without the "did I forget something?" spiral.
  • Florida Summer Care Guide — Heat, humidity, pavement, and outdoor safety tips for dogs in Palm Beach County weather and beyond.

Why the bundle

Buy all four separately and you'd pay about $57.96. The Starter Pack is $29.99 — roughly 48% off — because most new dog parents need more than one of these on day one.

Meet the muse

These guides are written in a warm dog-dad voice, with a few real notes from raising Allie, our pit bull — the good, the messy, and the "move the crate next to the bed" kind of lessons.

Pairs well with…

Add a Cutie bow tie (or two) from the shop. Free US shipping kicks in at $70, so the Starter Pack plus a couple of accessories is an easy way to unlock free shipping and send a gift-ready look home with the guides.

Instant digital download

No waiting on a truck. After checkout you get your files ready to read on your phone, tablet, or print for the fridge.

From the New Puppy Survival Guide: Chapter 1 — First Days Home

The first 72 hours set the tone. Your goal is not to teach a hundred things. It is to make your puppy feel safe and to start a routine.

Before your puppy arrives

Puppy-proof like a toddler is moving in, because one basically is. Get down on your hands and knees and look at your home from puppy height.

  • Tuck away or cover electrical cords and phone chargers.
  • Move shoes, socks, kids' toys, and remote controls off the floor.
  • Secure trash cans and lock away cleaning products.
  • Remove toxic houseplants (check the ASPCA plant list).
  • Block off stairs and off-limit rooms with baby gates.
  • Pick a puppy "home base": a small, easy-to-clean area with the crate, water, and a few toys.

The ride home

  • Bring a helper if you can — one drives, one comforts.
  • Use a crate or secured carrier lined with a towel; car sickness is common.
  • Ask for a blanket or toy that smells like mom and littermates.
  • Stop at your designated potty spot as soon as you get home, before going inside.

Day one, hour by hour

  1. Potty first. Carry them to the outdoor spot. Praise calmly and treat when they go.
  2. Let them explore the home base only — one or two rooms.
  3. Keep visitors to a minimum for a few days.
  4. Offer a small meal once they've settled (stress can kill appetite on day one).
  5. Introduce the crate casually with the door open and a treat inside.
  6. Nap, play, potty, repeat. Puppies sleep 18–20 hours a day.
  7. Bedtime: last potty trip, then crate next to your bed. Expect at least one night potty break.

From Allie's Dad: The first night I put Allie's crate in the living room because I read they "need to learn to be alone." She cried for two hours. Night two, I moved the crate next to the bed and let her smell my hand through the door. She was asleep in ten minutes. Puppies just left everything they've ever known. Being close helps.
