Ali and Ellie

Ali and Ellie is the second book in Ali's Adventures, a warm chapter story for young readers ages 6–8, written by Kevin Perez. I'm Kevin from Ali's Pet Supplies, and this one is for every kid who has ever wondered what a pet is trying to say.

When a moving truck pulls up next door, out comes a girl named Rosa and a shy calico cat named Ellie. Ali bounds to the fence with her happiest, wiggliest wag, and Ellie puffs up and vanishes under the porch. Ali learns that not everyone speaks dog. By watching and listening, she discovers what Ellie's swishing tail, flattened ears and slow blinks really mean. A runaway jingle ball, a crash in the night and a noisy backyard party give two very different neighbors the chance to help each other, and to learn that courage comes in all sizes.
